Nagareshu Kanci - Curated Study tour for Amrita Vishawa Vidyapeetham (AVV), Chennai Campus

Happy to be part on the initative and take lead for the Study Tour on "Nagareshu Kanci" - the city, religions, kings, temples, Art & Architecture, and the Cultural Heritage for  Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham (AVV) Chennai campus. Happy to see that my association and learnings with AVV is growing with the 3rd training progressing with Central Unit on Architecture , and the second program for Chennai campus .  Earlier 2 years ago, did the first  presentation as part of the Student onboarding program for freshers ..

This time some of the innovations implemented are 

01 Pre-tour Presentation covering The city, religions, kings , Architecture , Sculptures and the temples to be explored  - by Sivasankar Babu, Krishnakumar G, Uma G 

02 3 more heritge volunteers joining as part of the tour interpretation team - Suresh priyan, Hemanth, Krishnan

03 3 groups- Orange, Green and Piknk -  managed by 2 Docents each with more opportunity to interpret monuments for all 

04 1:6 ratio - 1 docent per 6 tourists  - very optimum for close interaction 

05 3 different circuits in each monument to avoid crowding and more interactions

06 Gaming questions shared ahead for exploration time during the physcial visit 

07 Online feedback questionnaire for refinement of program 

Monuments Covered : Ekambareshwara, Jurahareshwara, Vishwakarma Mandapa, Kanchi Crafts Musuem, Kailasanatha, Kamatchi Amman

We thank AVV team of Teachers for the excellent support in handling the students and  the brillant students who were handpicked to join this club and for their excellent answers and interest in the subject ..

This is a clear showcase of handling 50+- 200  tourists in batches to cover monuments in different circuits without traffice jam and more personal interactions ..
